What does a housekeeper do in his work in UK Hotel?

My Chinese friend will go to UK for the occupation of " Housekeeper" in a hotel of England. Who can tell me what the Housekeeper should do in UK hotel normally?

i am a housekeeper in a hotel in north wales.i make the beds empty the bins, clean the bathrooms replace the toiletries and tea coffee etc, polish the furniture and hoover.also we clean the rooms once a month top to bottom by pulling all the furniture out and cleaning the window etc.the job can get a little boring sometimes but put the tellies on in the rooms and watch them.

A housekeeper is the person who arrives into your hotel room in the mornings, cleans it and restocks tea, bathroom stuff etc.

A housekeeper is an individual responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the interior of a residence. The term is almost exclusively applied to females; males are generally referred to as housecleaners, head of household staff, or, under the old British Imperial system as houseboys (regardless of age).

a housekeeper cleans rooms, makes bed, cleans bathrooms, dusts, vacuums, washes windows, empties trash and makes the rooms nice for the guests.
