How much does a Assistant Manager of a Hotel in India make?

Hi

I currently have 2 years left of my undergraduate degree in Hotel Management. I am also working full time and am a front Desk supervisor at a Marriott Hotel. So by the time i am done with college, I would have 4 years of experience and an undergrad degree.

If i move back to India and get a Mgmt position at a hotel, does anybody know how much they start their packages from?

Hotel in India are not pay masters and you get screwed up with the timings..

Which dept would you prefer to work..

If in F&B and catering you can earn sorta well..

But in front office salary wud be around 4-6.5K..tats all..

Even with a undergraduate degree and 4 yrs of supervisory experience, its difficult to get an assistant manager's position. & if you do get the position, You might end up earning 13k - 15k / month plus benefits. Provided you are working with a big establishment.

No of starts of the Hotel ( 5 or 4 /3 )

Location

Assuming a 5 star hotel the salary ranges could be around Rs. 2-3 lakhs per annum for a Hotel Management Professional with 4 yrs of work exp
