What is a good location for choosing a hotel in Hong Kong?

My budget is around 150 US $ per day for a hotel room I am getting a better deal in new territories but not sure how far away is it from all the attractions mainly we will visit Disneyland, Victoria peak and the ferry. I will stay for three day in the end of December.

try those hotels in Tsim Sha Tsui area as it's walking distance to the Star Ferry. n if u take the ferry to HK side... u can easily ride on the topless double-deck bus to the Peak station...so that u can take the tram upto the Peak. http://www.thepeak.com.hk/full/en/peak_tram.php

no worry abt the schedule of Star Ferry. it's goes like every 3-5 mins their boats. n just 8-10 mins to arv HK side.

here's a few hotel in TST which close to the tube station (MTR) & convenience + not very expensive.

There are few webpage that provide cheap accomodation in hong kong and the quality are not bad and they are within tourist spots and mrt. It is within hong kong territory. See below:

Three days is not very long. There is so much to see and do in Hong Kong, why not go to Disney World in the USA (since the one in HK is rather small) and spend more time doing things you can only do in Hong Kong?

I recommend staying at the YMCA Salisbury. It's right at the Star Ferry. Day 1, visit the Hong Kong Museum of History (great for an overview of the history of the city), Kowloon Park, the HK Museum of Art, wander through the mall, window shop at night along Nathan Road.

Day 2, take bus 973 from right there on Canton Road (by the Hard Rock Cafe) out to Stanley. Visit the Maritime museum, eat lunch at one of the open air restaurants on the water. In the afternoon, shop at the Stanley Market. You'll be tired, so come back, take a nap, and then wander around Nathan Road at night.

Day 3, take the Star Ferry over to Central, then catch a bus to the Peak Tram. Sit at the back (so you can see behind you) and ride the tram up to Victoria Peak. Eat lunch at one of the restaurants at the top of the Peak. Look around (you can even hike around it). The wax museum is a fun outing, too. Or visit the Hong Kong Park if you have time. Or, when you finish at the Peak, get over to Times Square area in Causeway Bay and wander around there.

If you have time, or as an alternative to any of these, take the Metro all the way up to Lantau Island and then ride the chair lift to the Big Buddha at the Po Lin Monastery. If you leave by 10 in the morning, you should arrive there in time to have lunch at the Buddhist restaurant on top of the mountain. It's a full day trip, but very memorable and beautiful. .

If the Salisbury is full, you can also try the Marco Polo Hotels. They are located at roughly the same place and about the same price range.
