Thanks in advance!
Wow you are a gluten for punishment. If a travel agent booked this arrangement, sue them.
There are no trains from LGA, only ground transportation. To get to Newark NJ from LGA you can take a bus (M60) to 125th Street and Manhattan and then make your way south to The Port Authority Bus terminal or to Penn Station for a train to Newark.
OR
take the M60 to Astoria Blvd and take the N or W trains to 42nd st (a block from the Post authority), or to 34th st (a block from Penn Station)
If I were stuck with this trip, I would take an Airport Van/Bus service to Penn Station and then tak NJ transit train to Newark. This is more expensive, but if you have luggage the prior method will encounter many stairways for you to go up and down.
BTW - Newark is not a very safe place for travelers.
hey, i don't live in NY but i took your exact route. There's a train from LaGuardia which will take you to a station/maybe a terminal ( i'm sory i can't remember which, ask around) where the hotel drivers pick guests' up. Sheraton NJ have free shuttles frequently to and from the terminal/station.
Btw, people in NYC don't know these stuff. they don't come out here. they have no reason to.
