Add a cup of white vinegar in the final rinse.:)
try vinegar in your wash, then Downy in rinsed, or hang them out side in the air
Try more fabric softener.
Use hot water on the ones that won't shrink, warm water on the others. Put white vinegar in the rinse water. Hang outside on a sunny day.
If you can use hot water and some Pine Soil it should get it . If you can not use hot water us Warm.
Baking soda. More than the recommended amount wont hurt.
You can try adding some baking soda to the wash
Have you tried Tide with febreeze?
The easiest and best way to get odors out of clothes is to use Odoban. This is sold at Sam's. I have used it for years to clean my kids sports clothes, bedding, etc. and boy does it work! You just throw a cup in with the wash. Before I used this I tried the vinegar and baking soda and had no luck. I've even thrown my kids shin guards from soccer in the wash with it and anyone that has gone through the smell of these and lived to tell about it will verify that Odoban is some powerful stuff if it works on them. Hope this helps!
Try some vinegar in the fabric softener dispenser. This usually will get rid of odors.
