Where is the best budget hotel in Manila?

I have an Arabian friend from e mail that is planning to visit our country, Ph. He asked me to suggest and look for a 5-4 star hotel, for him and a friend, that they can stayed at. From those who traveled here, all you foreigners or those who happened to tried a hotel service, please help me to decide on this. I have a couple in mind already but I havnt tried any of them either.. your comments and suggestions are welcome. Thank you so much!

Hyatt Manila in roxas boulevard i think

cherry blossoms hotel is great because of its location, and price. check other hotels at http://www.manila-travel.com/hotels-in-manila-philippines.html

I've been to Manila 2 weeks ago, and we stayed at the Palm Plaza. It was okay. Why not try Grand Hyatt? Or the Diamond Hotel. :)

I would not stay in Manilla if the room was free.I was thier 6 month's ago and that is definatley the most dangerous city in the Phillipine's. stay in Cebu or San Fernando

Lotus Garden 40-60

Westin 75-150

Dusit 80-200

Cherry Blossom 30-80

A 4-5 star budget hotel???

I like the Hyatt Regency Manila. Very clean, excellent hotel in Pasay with excellent restaurant, shopping, business services, etc. I have reservations already for May 2006. Cost= 80 USD

Good luck
