What do you know about this hotel or the owner?

It is called hotel california and it is in Escazu, Costa Rica. The owner is named Bruce Cohen. He has offered me a job and before I go down there for a few months I am just trying to research it a little.


They are not listed on the TicosLand.com website. If you need any more information about Costa Rica, try the website.

Try reaching the ICT. They regulate tourism and hotels in Costa Rica. They won´t tell you personal information about the owner, but what they can do is assure that your not coming here for nothing.

Try Contact us so you get updated info on the hotel. Also the American embassy should be able to find any information for US citizens that are coming for a job here.

I guess it must be a new hotel, I haven´t heard about them, I know there is a Hotel California in Quepos but has a different owner.

Escazu is a nice gringo area of town.

    Bruce Cohen is a crook. Dont get sucked in , he talks well on the phone. You will pay your own way there right! Then when you get there he will work you like a slave. Feed you nothing but rice and beans. Thats your two meals a day.His tools are junk. And he will never pay you.the lodgeing , you will pay for your TP,took me 3 days to even get a towel. He has all ready shot one worker. His story on that was a lie. If that worker had not had a record Bruce Cohen would and should be in jail. I heard the story from him and then 2 other people , his is a fabracation.

    Bruce Cohen is the biggest scammer in Costa Rica!!!! The 1st comment hit the nail on the head. I also know first hand what a piece of CRAP SHIT BRUCE COHEN is! HOTEL CALIFORNIA HA! He robs his own clients, hotel guests, he goes through their rooms and robs them. Forget about working for him. You could lose your life.

    I volunteered I worked for him he treated me like a king we went out to dinner every night he bought the beers he was funny great musician tell me about all the scumbags and freeloaders that wanted to come down and use them I’m on his side
