What is the best hotel to stay at in Las Vegas, NV and why?

Im thinking about going to Las Vegas for about 3-5 nights for my 21st b-day. Can anyone tell me what is the best hotel and why they liked it? Also anything you did there that you recommend? Thanks!

Best Hotels:

Mandalay Bay - very chic and modern, so fun for the young

crowd, has a great variety of places to eat and the casino

is very nice. Clubs are very high class as well. The only thing

bad about this hotel is the location - located farthest down on the

strip.

Venetian- it doesn't get much better than this in Vegas. Club

Tao is amazing and mostly likely to run into atleast one celeb.

while visiting. The whole hotel has a unforgetabel atmosphere. Central location as well.

Caesars Palace- the diamond of Vegas. Caesars takes up nearly

two or three blocks of the strip because it is so massive. The guest

rooms and average, so I recommend getting a suite or deluxe

room. But the highest line of clubs are located with Caesars. Best

places to eat as well. You can shop at the beautiful Forum Shops

all afternoon and party all night at the various clubs.

Have fun!

I did Vegas for my 21st B-Day last year and I am not a Vegas newbie. Best hotel, I believe, with the best pools is hands down the Mandalay Bay and or the Mirage. Mandalay Bay has a very posh, low key night club at the top of THEhotel called "The Mix." Best view in Vegas, classy atmosphere and good drinks. Really low key. Fabulous pool. IF you want more excitement I partied at Studio 54 at the MGM grand on my 21st. Young enviornment, awesome DJ and a good, good place for dancing. I don't recommend staying at the MGM though, not exciting at all. If you stay at Mandalay Bay, which is right next to the Luxor, which has the hottest, new nightclub in Vegas called "LAX."

Hope this helps, wouldn't have been anywhere else for my 21st.

The best hotel I think is Bellagio. Everything about the property is 5-star.

From the restaurant, to the shops, to the fountains, to the spa, to the casino.

For example, the coffee shop, where other properties have a Starbucks, is a world famous pastry chef's place where they make crepes to order, and they have the world's tallest chocolate fountain. That's just the coffee shop!

Steve Wynn built Bellagio, and he now has Wynn, which seems to me to just be a copy.

The only thing that doesn't completely stand out are the standard rooms, which while they are very nice hotel rooms, aren't exceptional like those at Wynn or Venetian (from what I have heard, I have stayed at Bellagio several times, and have been through Wynn and Venetian, but I have not stayed at either, but friends I go with that have stayed there say both property's rooms are superior.)

For value, I think the nicest is the Mirage. It's not top dollar like Mandalay Bay/Wynn/Bellagio/Venetian, but it is very nice, and the rates are usually very reasonable. I've probably stayed there 4 or 5 times, and just got back from there. We saw Jay Leno there, who was really funny.

My wife is a big shopper, and the Ceasar's forum shops are directly next door, like a 2 minute walk away.

Been to Vegas over 10 times now.

There really is no best hotel.

Your really only in a room to sleep, change clothes and shower.

So concentrate on all Vegas has to offer
