Is it really save to book a hotel by internet?

There are many web sites who offer hotel bookings.

How can I know which one is safe or not?

Stick to the big guns like Priceline or Orbitz. Or go to the hotel sites themselves.

It's safe. American Hotels anyway. Just look the hotel up on a couple other big websites like Travelocity or Expedia. Also, choose Marriott or Hilton or some big name. Not Joe's Inn or whatever. But seriously, people book hotels online all the time. It's considered a safe thing to do.

Visit the more reputed sites that many pple use such as zuji.com , priceline.com, hoteltravel.com

I think its ok as long as you call to comfirm you bookings.

Hello Narin!!

I travel all the time and using expedia has always been best for me....its safe, and fast. I never have any problems booking my flights and/or hotels....you should be careful with any sites....but for the past year Expedia has been best for me....but everyone would have a different opinons on this matter.

Happy Hunting!!

I manage a motel and people do it all of the time but I would call them first and check with the BBB. I wouldn't give out personal info on the internet!!

try asiarooms.com if you are traveling to asia.

yeah its safe, but use a reputable site like those others have listed or contact the hotel...some sites offer a virtual tour of the room so you know what size/type of room youll be booking....once you book online request a copy of confirmation and it would be good to call the hotel as a follow up...if youre totally uncomfortable still, then i would research it all online and then call the hotel to book it....and if youre still worried you can always go purchase a prepaid credit card with the amount youll want to spend and pay with it so that your personal information is protected
