How can I get a job working in a Russian hotel to improve my Russian?

I hold a UK passport and would like to improve my Russian by working in a hotel for 6 months to 1 year. Are there any 5* hotels that would take on foriegners? I have been working as a concierge for a 5* hotel in UK.

Don't forget that you will need to get a visa and permission to work in Russia. You will find that you may not get much help in obtaining your OVIR invitation from a prospective employer there. Also, from experience, they often distrust US/Western Europeans because we tend to "follow the rules" too closely.

become a MI5 agent...

Do you want to be rieltor I will help I have a friend from US who live in St.Petersburg Russia

Hello, use russian search engine www.yandex.ru to find 5 star hotels in russia: Moscow or St Peterburg. They should have websites where you can fill out applications.

If you like Siberia, you would want to try Yekateronburg. It's a cool rich city in the Urals. Lots of foregners too.

Email me if you have questions, I will try to help.
