How do I get Hotel Reservations for Schengen Visa Application?

Apparently I need hotel reservations for Schengen visa application...do I just call them to fax it over or can I get them e-mail it to me? And how long does it take? Who actually sends them to me, the hotel itself or an admin of the hotel? If so would they do it on the weekends?

The hotel should be able to confirm the booking via Email.

The printout of the email will suffice for the visa requirement.

If you made a reservation fee, get the proof for that too.

Hotels do not close over the weekends or on holidays, so you should get it immediately. And finally this is done by the Administration staff of the hotel.

Usually embassies will not take any e-mail reservation confirmation since they are subject to be faked. So if you are living in a country which is known for a high visa rejection rate or for the trend to seek illegal immigration you would be better off with having the original confirmation of booking be posted by mail to you. This will usually be done by the admin staff of the hotel. Also a copy of the bank account showing the payment on account will be helpful.

To expedite it you may be able to have it send to you as an attachment to a e-mail. But then you would better off by providing the original link on a data carrier as a proof.

Edit:

I have just seen in your previous question that you hold a US Green Card. In this case the embassy would also accept an E-mail confirmation of a hotel booking if you are actually residing in the United States and are applying at an Embassy/Consulate in the Unites States..
